Giftedness & Cognitive/IQ Testing

At School Psyched Assessment, we provide comprehensive giftedness evaluations and intellectual assessments to help identify gifted learners and support appropriate educational placement and programming. Gifted students often have unique cognitive profiles and advanced intellectual abilities, and formal cognitive testing or IQ assessments offer valuable insight into their strengths, specific learning needs, and ideal instructional environments for academic success.

Our evaluations use research-based, norm-referenced instruments (such as the WISC-V or WPPSI-IV) to measure areas including verbal reasoning, visual-spatial skills, working memory, and processing speed. These assessments can help determine:

– Insight into advanced cognitive or academic abilities
– Twice-exceptionality (giftedness + learning differences)
– Asynchronous development
– Recommendations for school placement or acceleration

We provide a detailed, easy-to-understand written report and offer consultation sessions to walk families and/or schools through the results. Our goal is to ensure that gifted learners are both challenged and supported—academically, socially, and emotionally.
